We hosted our very first ITS Tool Show between 31st October and 2nd November – it was great fun!
On the Halloween weekend we welcomed the trade to our Loughton HQ for the ITS Tool Show 2014 – the first we’ve hosted and it was an absolute blast!
The biggest brands in power tools, hand tools and accessories were all present and correct – all ripe and raring to meet all you lovely tradesmen and offer great deals, expert demonstrations and be part of a great day out. We aimed to make it the biggest and best trade show in the UK and worked hard to make sure all the big players came along…
Who was at the show?
We had over 40 brands exhibiting over the weekend, all with their own select group of experts on hand to answer questions and get involved in the banter. Power tools were represented by all the big hitters, many of which were offering great deals… Makita power tool kits were extremely popular amongst the attendees and not just because of quality and choice but because of the awesome offers on those kits! They showcased an enormous selection of their 18v power tools and also their awesome 36v products – needless to say it was pretty busy on their stand!
Celebrating their 35th year was Panasonic – power tool combo kits were being demonstrated on their busy stand throughout the 3 days by their expert tool-geeks. Elsewhere, Stanley hand tools and their excellent and varied range were on show, Ultex had brought along their Ariel Atom as well as their great selection of bits and blades and Wera showcased their Joker wrenches amongst many other of their top-notch products.
But it didn’t stop there. There was a whole host of other products from the likes of Reisser, Dickies and Leica whose newest laser, the Lino L2G+ was blinding (not literally) the crowds!… There were exclusives too with the new brand Blucave showing off their high-quality range of van storage systems and another new brand, Graft, showing why their adhesives are well worth a look. There were many more besides – just too many to mention here!
Demonstrations for the nations
But those guys weren’t just exhibiting, oh no. We had a special demo tent sent up (not like a tent you’d have for Glastonbury, more like a mahoosive and noisy wedding reception-sized extravaganza) which had a selection of experts from Festool – showing off their TSC55 Cordless Plunge Saw – Mafell, Fein, plus Trend amongst many others showboating their wares.
Not ONLY that, there were 3 tour busses worth of products to browse round! There was Dewalt 18v cordless power drills on their truck the ‘Yellow Storm’ as well as their 5.0Ah range. Next door to them on the Big Red truck, attendees got their hands on Milwaukee cordless power tools like the M18 Fuel range. Hitachi also had their truck of excellent tough tools – all of which basked in the Indian Summer sunlight of the Halloween Friday. It was scarily good!
Everyone who came got themselves a cheeky goodie bag from our ITS girls and we hope that everyone took advantage of the exclusive bargains at the show. Unfortunately not everyone around the UK was able to attend, in fact many of you got in touch through Facebook and Twitter to ask whether we were coming to your neck of the woods and trust us, we’d love to. So to finish, we’d like to say a big thanks to everyone who came, we hope you had a great time!
