BO001CG 40V XGT 125mm Brushless Random Orbit Sander

Makita BO001CG 40V XGT 125mm Brushless Random Orbit Sander

BO001CG

This 125mm Random Orbit Sander is designed to be compact and lightweight, with a battery that is completely separated from the tool.

The battery is connected via a cable to an adapter that clips onto your belt. This feature significantly reduces the weight of the sander, making it easier to handle and reducing the strain on the user. Additionally, this sander is small, measuring only 96mm from handle to base, which increases its manoeuvrability.

The sander comes with a ‘Pad Saver’ that sits between the sanding disc and the tool, reducing clogging and increasing usability. The sander also offers Bluetooth connectivity, allowing it to connect to a dust extractor, and it has IPX4 protection.

MUC022G 40V XGT Brushless 35cm ChainSaw

Makita MUC022G 40V XGT Brushless 35cm ChainSaw

We’ve already been told that the name of this product may change to DUC022G

MUC022GRU

This chainsaw is equipped with a high-powered brushless motor and is one of the lightest chainsaws in its class.

Compared to other rear-handled chainsaws in the XGT range, it is the lightest, weighing only 4.9kg with the battery. This makes it highly maneuverable and easy to carry around the job site.

With a chain speed of 0-25.5m/s and a pitch of 0.25”, this saw features a quick restart with no need to pull the trigger again. This means that even if the chainsaw locks up due to overload, it will restart once the load is removed without the need to pull the trigger.

It starts up faster than previous models and includes WetGuard protection as well as IPX4 waterproof protection. Additional features include tool-less chain adjustment mechanism, metal spikes for biting into materials, a metal chain catcher, as well as retractable large diameter oil tank cap.

I must admit that I was initially confused by this product, but after learning more about it, I can see why it would be useful.

The VS001G is a powerful sweeper that can clean almost anything in its path, whether it’s on-site, in your garden, or in public spaces like offices, schools, and hospitals.

The sweeper has a wide 650mm cleaning width with a side brush that can reach into difficult corners and crevices. The two main brushes are located underneath the machine, are height and speed adjustable, and can clear everything from dust particles to leaves and worksite debris.

The sweeper comes with a 24L dust container, and a separate 47L container is available, along with a Multi-Adapter set that can hold MAKPAC Cases and portable power packs.

HM004G 80V XGT Brushless Hex Shank Demolition Hammer

Makita HM004G 80V XGT Brushless Hex Shank Demolition Hammer

HM004G

Now, lets talk power. And I mean POWER!

Utilizing two 40V XGT batteries, the 80V cordless hammer could be the most powerful available in the market (as of March 2024). The hammer boasts impressive numbers – it can produce 72.8 Joules of impact energy, 870 blows per minute, and has a low vibration level of 6.5m/s, thanks to Makita’s Anti Vibration Technology and anti-vibration housing.

The hammer also features a Soft No Load mode, which suppresses the motor rotation speed when no load is applied, resulting in lower vibration levels. This feature ensures that there’s less violence at the tip of the bit, allowing for more precise and firm aiming.

The hammer has an IPX6/IP56 grading, which makes it suitable for use in almost all kinds of weather. Its design, with the batteries placed on either side, also allows for the user to have a clearer view of the tip.

RP001G 40V XGT Brushless Router

Makita RP001G 40V XGT Brushless 1/2″ Router

RP001G

Talk about saving the best for last!

Makita is set to release a new ½” router that will perform just as well as a mains powered tool. Weighing only 3.9kg, this router has a plunge depth of 60mm and measures just 228mm from the top of the battery to the base plate.

With five adjustable speed levels, this router is easy and comfortable to hold. The constant rotation control ensures clean cuts and two LED worklights provide clear visibility of the material surface.

The stopper base can be set quickly to one of three levels and the brushless motor offers a no load speed of 800 – 25,000 rpm. Upon its release, the router will come with a single straight bit, straight guide, template guide, collet sleeve 6/8, and a spanner.

This is one to look forward to.
